"Hormonal Stories and Initiations"
Day Workshop for Women
Saturday 23rd March 10:30am - 6pm

Staverton Village Hall, TQ9 6PD

With Agata Krajewska, assisted by Rooh Star

Our female bodies take us through cycles of initiation throughout our lives. Starting with puberty, through the years of menstruation, motherhood or non-motherhood to menopause.
What stories do we hold of these life events? Can we harvest the gold embedded in the challenges?
How comfortable can we get with the powerful natural forces of death and rebirth?

In this workshop we will let the body lead and reveal its wisdom, using the power of attentive witnessing as a transformative container.
We will not only “tell our stories” but fully claim and embody all of ourselves- now, with all that brought us here. We will work with creativity as a way of transforming the rough material of our experiences into gold.
It’s a "work" of play and deep healing at the same time, a kind of ritual that occurs through the collective witness. Work with presence, embodiment, improvisation, inquiry, telling and personal reflection.
No previous experience necessary.

Bring your Gifts with Ease
Part-funded workshop for Women in peri/menopause and those with health challenges
23th July 10:30- 5:30
Staverton Village Hall, TQ9 6PD
Facilitated by Agata Krajewska, assisted by Rooh Star

It has been said by indigenous elders that when everybody embodies their unique gifts, the world will come into equilibrium. We will start from the presumption that we are already enough to offer your gifts and support our spontaneous unfolding and welcome.

The gift we have is our innate Soul-nature. It has been given to us and it’s not ours to withhold. Yet, in the giving of it every wound of “not enough” can be touched. If we engage with it, it will bring us home to our belonging; to the universal benevolence of life.

Health Challenges as Heroine’s Journey

Part-funded workshop for Women

9th July 10:30- 5:30

Staverton Village Hall, TQ9 6PD

Facilitated by Agata Krajewska, assisted by Rooh Star

Health challenges are the most common modern day “initiations”. Our body speaks and demands attention, brining us to surrender. Our health struggles often reflect ancestral or collective patterns. Also, on a basic level, they reflect the state of the Earth- where our bodies come from and return to.

This way of learning is a deep and often painful journey. And it is a journey of love and growth.

Using the model of the Heroine’s Journey, we will move our stories of health and illness, and the gifts encased within them. We will create containers for our body-mind to speak to us in creative ways.

Work with presence, embodiment, improvisation, inquiry, story and personal reflection.

No previous experience necessary.

Places limited, booking essential.

Part funded by National Lottery Community Fund.

Sliding scale donation: £40-£25

WOMEN’S RETREAT ON DARTMOOR
“Theatre of the Soul- Creative Awakening”

5pm on 24th- 5pm on 27th of March
“And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom."  Anais Nin

Through the use of creativity, embodiment and presence practices we will explore:

- What is your soul calling for at this time?

- What is your current initiation?

- What is wanting to come through you as a gift?

We will nurture your creative seeds that are sprouting out into the world.
We will start from the presumption that we are already enough and use the medium of ritual theatre to experience your spontaneous unfolding and receive welcome.

We will look at the stages of a journey of transformation and explore them creatively. We will look at the connection between the wound and the gift; a mythological understating of our lives. We transform the rough material of our experiences into gold. It’s a "work" of play and deep healing at the same time, a kind of ritual that occurs through collective witness and group support.

You will receive:

*An opportunity to rest and be nourished in a comfortable venue and a beautiful natural environment

*A safe space for a free, spontaneous, self-expression

*An invitation to dive inside and go through a transformation

*A space to be revealed to yourself and others and deeply welcomed

A small intimate group of max 6 participants will allow for individual attention to your unique needs and unfolding; whether it’s a project you are dreaming, a longing or an emergent offering to the world.
This is the feminine way of creating- through allowing an organic emergence of your gifts, to nourish you and to serve Life.
Rest, away from demands and distractions, engaging in play, ritual, presence and embodiment practice and deep inquiry.

The retreat will take place on Dartmoor in a small village of Hennock, with stunning views and walks. The house has a peaceful private garden with an outdoor hot tub and space to rest back in nature. Nourishing homemade food will be served throughout the retreat.
Each day will consist of morning, afternoon and evening sessions with generous breaks in between.

This is a journey through the body based on the map of 5 elements of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Each week we will explore an organ as a range of processes and functions relating to the whole body-mind.
We will look at our lives and stories through the lens of each organ, exploring our relationship to its gifts and challenges, strengthening its potential and building a conscious relationship to our body.

Our bodies carry stories. As we play them out we are revealed to each other and ourselves and our well-being is freed up. As we release the story, we are more present and available and enriched by digesting our experience.

AWAKENING THROUGH PLAY
Day workshop for Facilitators, Creatives and Divine Fools

Saturday 24th July, 10:30am- 6pm

Staverton Village Hall near Totnes

This is a training day for facilitators, therapists, creative practitioners and explorers of embodied presence to skill up, practice and develop.

Creativity in the widest sense is our true essence. Sanskrit word Lila stands for “divine play”- all of this reality, an ever-unfolding play of Creation. When we taste that experience, we wake up and take our lives and ourselves less seriously, allowing for freedom and transformation.
Through externalizing our “crazy humanness”, we dis-identify from the holding structures, freeing up energy and emotion. Through participation without control, we become a part of the innate flow of life.
Play itself brings us to the taste of our True Nature.

In this day workshop, I will be sharing games and exercises that facilitate embodied presence and self-awareness. But more importantly, I will be sharing the principles behind the exercises that can be applied to skilful facilitation.

We will explore:
*Reading and unifying ‘the field’
*Warm-ups and games
*Conducting energy and emotion
*The power of witnessing
*Movement and embodiment practices
*Welcoming it all with compassion
*Questions that arise from the group

You will gain skills in designing workshops, holding a safe space, supporting a group process and individual unfolding.

In whatever way you hold space for yourself or others, inviting the quality of play and the joyful wisdom of the body will help you cultivate freedom, presence, creativity and power in your practice, whether that is personal or professional.

Bring Your Gifts to Life- Be the Creatrix

5-week online course for women

Wednesdays 10th March- 7th April
4pm-6:30pm

For women who long to share their gifts and their creative expression, as a way of life; who’ve tried to express their gifts before but found it was hard or just too scary; and for those who feel new visions stirring but don’t know how to move towards them.
This concentrated period of support will make a difference to those who want to be active creators of Life on Earth at this time. Sometimes they are called artists, performers, facilitators, teachers, healers, carers, mothers, activists, leaders, mystics and more.

Themes we will explore:
Life as a creative act
Aligning with your Gift/Soul purpose
The dynamic of coming forward and resting back (Yin Yang of giving your gift)
Meeting the inner critic and sabotaging patterns
Being seen and speaking out
Connecting service with joy and resourcefulness
Celebrating self and other
Being received, welcomed and valued
Clearing out the pipes for life to flow through you

Included in the course:
Five 2,5 hour sessions with teaching and personal and group exploration through creative inquiry
Individual mentoring session with Agata
Weekly tasks and mini-projects between sessions
Opportunity to practice giving your gift
Note:
We put great emphasis on grounding and embodiment as well as rest and digestion and we take breaks in the session.

The gift we have is our innate Soul-nature. It has been given to us and it’s not ours to withhold. Yet, in the giving of it every wound of “not enough” can be touched. If we engage with it, it will bring us home to our belonging; to the universal benevolence of life.

In the course we will work with resting back as a prerequisite to coming forward into the world; with being enough as a place to create from.
We will investigate conditions of creative emergence - from emptiness into form, and a human being as the channel for that amazing process. From that place we can merge our individual longing and need with that of the world, recognizing that it is crucial for each one of us to manifest our unique gift

for the good of the whole.

I am fascinated by the process of Life’s emergence to be itself, through us. One of my core gifts is to enable others to be seen, heard and received.

This course is offered at an introductory rate of £105 to a limited number of participant to allow for individual attention, so make sure you come forward in time to reserve a place.

Booking by application only.

Stories of MEN Online

Resourcing self through the pandemic and beyond

5-week online group:

Thurs 12th Nov 7pm-9:15pm

In these critical times of adversity, all of us are called into radical change. To steer that change is to be in touch with our individual calling, and to support that change is to be in touch with our natural resourcefulness. In this workshop we will be led by these themes, exploring and deepening our ability to have a creative and practical response to the limitations imposed by the pandemic.

Who is it for?

This workshop, funded by the National Lottery, is open to all and is targeted to support those most affected by the pandemic in terms of health, finances, isolation, recovery from loss, or deep personal struggles.

In the workshops we engage in creative ways to uncover significant life stories, be resourced by them, and process the challenging emotions from difficult experiences. Supported by a small community of like-minded men we will be writing, reflecting, moving, and validating each other’s short personal performances. No experience necessary.

With Agata Krajewska and Rooh Star

Outdoor venue with facilities:

The Glade, North Woods, Dartington, Totnes, Devon, TQ9 6EH

For a small group, observing social distancing

It has been said by indigenous elders that when everybody embodies their unique gifts, the world will come into equilibrium. We will start from the presumption that we are already enough to offer your gifts and support our spontaneous unfolding and welcome.

As a young woman today you are faced with numerous pressures: to look and act a certain way, to succeed in today’s changing and uncertain world.

This is a space to pause and listen, honouring the formative, transitional stage of your life; a space to explore what you long to share with the world, with women of your own age and two passionate guides.

Work with presence, embodiment, improvisation, inquiry, and storytelling.

"Stories of Descent"

Autobiographical Theatre for Women

Ashburton, Quaker Meeting House:

3 Tuesdays 19th Nov, 3rd Dec, 17th Dec, 2 pm-5.15 pm

Descent

Into the body

Into the lower psyche

Into stillness

Into darkness

Into the holding of the Earth

Into the Underworld where gifts are found and recovered.

Autumn and winter invite us on the journey of descent; into the dark and deeper into ourselves. The Dark that we may shy away from offers gifts of rest and transformation.

Inspired by nature's Life-Death-Life cycle we will inquire into what is disintegrating in our identities at present and how to engage with that process. We will look at our conditioning around loss and draw on mythological themes such as Inanna.

“Going down” and embracing what is found there is part a woman’s journey home. She is called to re-inhabit her body waist down and to plunge into the lower regions of her psyche where a raw power awaits, in the form of stories and emotions.

To safely embody these “taboo” parts of ourselves can bring us more energy and well-being, a sense of wholeness.

Work with presence, embodiment, improvisation, inquiry, telling and personal reflection.

At this time of the year traditionally the veil between the worlds is the thinnest. In many cultures, including Polish, it is a time to connect with and honour the dead.
In our society we have forgotten to celebrate the ancestors, who passed down to us the fruit of their lives. To consciously receive and acknowledge their legacy can nourish and support us.

This workshop will include:
*Inquiring into gifts and challenges passed down the ancestral lines and how we carry them forward
*Uncovering, sharing and performing ancestral stories
*Honouring and initiating a more conscious relationship with the ancestors.
*Community ritual.
*Work with presence, embodiment, improvisation, enquiry and storytelling.

Heroine's Days – Re-visioning Your Story
Saturdays 13th April, 11th May, 8th June, 10:30am-5:30pm

Staverton Village Hall

For those with previous experience in the work.

Each day stands alone: an opportunity to creatively dive into and re-vision your story from an initiatory perspective, working towards a performance.

We will focus on finding your key thread, gathering material and crafting your piece.

.

We carry so many stories inside and when they are told they get freed up and we get the medicine. It is often in challenging situations, when we might have felt victimized, that we developed our precious gifts and strengths.

By looking at our lives as a piece of art, we bring reverence to it and find the patterns that are specific to us. As we find those patterns and become the heroine's in our story, we find why we are here.

As women, we particularly need it, as we have lost some of the feminine mythology and need to rebuilt our archetypal domain.

Work with presence, embodiment, improvisation, inquiry, writing, telling and personal reflection.

Autumn and Winter invite us on the journey of descent, into the Dark and deeper into ourselves. The Dark that we may shy away from offers gifts of rest and transformation.

In the myth of Inanna the heroine makes a descent into the underworld to unite with her “dark sister”. This “going down” and embracing what is found there is part a woman’s journey home.
