A series of workshops to be taken individually or as a course. 

Ashburton Quakers Meeting House (NOTE: first meeting at Staverton Village Hall)

Exploring 4 faces of the feminine and the paradox of being human through play, creativity and theatre. 

Can we allow ourselves to be everything, whilst staying in touch with the emptiness at the centre of it all? 

What archetypal energies can we access as our doorways to power? 

What identities do we hold dear? 

Who is aware of it all?

In this workshop we will let the body lead and reveal its wisdom, using the power of attentive witnessing as a transformative container.
We will not only “tell our stories” but fully claim and embody all of ourselves- now, with all that brought us here.

We will explore how the forces of the four primary archetypes (mother, warrior, lover and witch) manifest in our lives and psyches- looking both at their pure power and blockages/distortions.

It’s a ‘work’ of play and deep healing at the same time, a kind of ritual that occurs through the collective witness. 

It is also an opportunity to explore and collect material for a performance, though it is not expected.

28th Sept - Mother 

Element: Earth

Care, self-care, nourishment, rest, safety, home, holding, body, unconditional love, compassion, creativity, abundance

Shadow

Over-extending, no boundaries, martyr, to much in other’s business, self-loathing, self neglect, food/body issues

19th Oct - Warrior 

Element: Fire

Power, boundaries, direction, goal, commitment, staying the course, passion, conducting anger, fight for the cause we love, sword of truth

Shadow

Hostility, domination, aggression, invasion, fear of power and strength and authority, dis-empowerment, victim, denying agency

16th Nov - Lover 

Element: Water

Intimacy with each experience, sensuality, sexuality, playfulness, pleasure, emotions, feeling, going with the flow, beauty, loving the mess of life, surrender, trust, immersion

Shadow

Control of emotion and aliveness, sexual abuse, objectifying bodies, numbness, none-feeling, shame, closed heart, disconnection

21st Dec - Shamana /Witch

Element: Air

Intuition, connection to Sacred, medial woman, working with Unseen, connection to nature, inner guidance, following the irrational, ceremony, ritual, dreams, solitude, healing, being unusual

Shadow

Disconnection from Earth, spiritual by-passing, escapism, addiction, non acceptance of humanness, magic without love or care, manipulation for self-gain

18th Jan - Whole Woman

Integration of them all

Resting in inner queendom
